Computer Network Support Specialist

Job Details Job Location: Spectrum Monthly LLC - MANCHESTER, NH 03102 Spectrum Marketing Companies is looking for an IT-savvy person with some experience to provide support for our network and system within our large, multi-facility, multi-platform, network environment. And, while we are looking for a full-time, in-house, employee, we are open to exploring flexible hours for the right candidate with other responsibilities. Here’s what our successful candidate will be doing: Monitoring performance, troubleshooting network problems and outages, scheduling upgrades and work on network optimization tasks. Managing VLAN’s, DHCP, DNS and other networking protocols. Configuring and maintaining switches, firewalls and Wi-Fi environment Managing, supporting, maintaining, and troubleshooting our networks, IT hardware, software, and services. Identifying, diagnosing, and resolving technical issues for our end users. Providing efficient problem resolution remotely or onsite at locations. Performing capacity planning, performance optimization, and preventative maintenance duties such as backup/recovery testing. Providing exceptional customer service through communication, documentation Performing patch updates and vulnerability remediation of computer systems and network components. Reviewing system logs and identifying issues that need resolution Keeping up to date on security bulletins from software and hardware vendors Maintaining and updating S.O.P documentation as processes change You may be the right candidate for us if you have: Experience with a virtual server environment, preferably Hyper-V. Experience managing Microsoft Remote Desktop. Understanding of networking concepts VLAN’s, subnet, DHCP etc. Knowledge of and experience with a Microsoft Windows Active Directory environment. Knowledge of security concepts and VPNs. Strong knowledge of networking concepts specific to Cisco networks. Experience at Network/System Administration (we’re leaning toward 2-5 years) Strong trouble-shooting and critical thinking skills Ability to learn and adapt to new technology and new procedures Effective communication skills SonicWall Experience would be helpful Mac OS X experience would be helpful QualificationsPhysical Requirements sitting for extended periods of time significant screen time Fine motor skills for keyboarding, manipulation of wiring Ability to occasionally lift 30 pounds Ability to work in small spaces running lines and moving monitors We would welcome applications from veterans of military service Our team works in a safe and responsible office environment that is taking all necessary steps to protect the health of our team members.
