Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Room (ER) plays a critical role in assessing patients' clinical conditions, initiating emergency measures, and delivering therapeutic care in a fast-paced environment. The RN is responsible for monitoring patients, operating emergency care equipment, and documenting care effectively.

Days, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' clinical conditions, recognizing and responding to serious situations.
• Initiate emergency measures as needed when the physician is unavailable.
• Operate and monitor specialized emergency care equipment.
• Administer medications and IV therapy as prescribed.
• Document nursing interventions and coordinate care among team members.
• Maintain adequate supplies and equipment for the unit.

Required Experience / Certifications

• Minimum of 2 years of recent ER RN experience.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC (mandatory).
• Experience with ventilators and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be willing to float to MS or ICU units as needed.
• Must work every other weekend and holidays.

This is a 13-week contract position.
