Overview

We are seeking a SUE Crew Chief to join our team in Richmond, Virginia. The SUE Crew Chief is responsible for accurate mapping of underground utilities for many types of projects & clients. Work duties are 95% outdoors with exposure to vehicle traffic, sun, varying environmental noise & mechanical equipment. To be considered for this position, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty meeting external and internal client expectations.

Responsibilities

• Experienced and fully understands the requirements to complete SUE Quality Level Mapping, (QL-D through QL-A).
• Proficient experience using electromagentic detection instruments and ground penetrating radar.
• Experienced in reviewing utility owner records & engineering plans.
• Experience in the operation of a vacuum excavation truck.
• Maintain accurate and clear notes & drafting.
• Train crew members in the use of equipment and proper field techniques.
• Adherence to company safety policies along with use of supplied personal protective equipment, (PPE)
• Positive representative of the company and its core values.

Qualifications

• Prefer 3 to 5 years of experience as SUE Crew Leader.
• Effective communicator
• High School Diploma
• Able to lift equipment / material weighing up to 50 pounds
• Valid Driver's License

Compensation : In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
