Embedded Software Engineer Opportunity

This isn't your typical embedded role. You'll be building software that flies, orbits, and operates in environments where every millisecond counts. We're looking for a seasoned Embedded Software Engineer to join a fast-moving team in Manhattan Beach, CA, working on flight, space, and ground systems that push the limits of real-time performance.

You will design and develop software for resource-constrained targets with soft and hard real-time requirements. Your code will implement complex data analysis, routing, and control system algorithms. You'll work across a range of processors, memory architectures, and I/O systems, writing both procedural and object-oriented software in C++. You'll also dive into real-time operating systems like VxWorks or Linux, using their host environments and development tools to bring your designs to life.

Develop and optimize software for flight, space, and ground systems. Implement algorithms that handle data analysis, routing, and control. Work with RTOS environments (FreeRTOS, RT-Linux, GH Integrity). Collaborate in a lab setting with rapid development cycles. Participate in the full lifecycle: architecture, requirements, OO development, code, unit test, integration, and system test.

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Software Engineering from an ABET-accredited university. 8+ years of software development experience. Strong C++ and object-oriented design skills. Proven experience with RTOS environments. Comfort in a fast-paced, hands-on lab environment.

Pay: $60–$90 per hour (W2). Duration: 12-month contract. Location: Onsite only in Manhattan Beach, CA. U.S. Citizenship required. Interview expenses covered.
