Physical Therapist - Outpatient Orthopedics

Role Overview We are seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to provide comprehensive patient care within a healthcare setting. The role involves conducting evaluations, developing and implementing treatment plans, and re-assessing patient progress. The therapist collaborates with healthcare professionals, documents care activities accurately, and participates in program planning and protocol development. Responsibilities include discharge planning, follow-up care, and ensuring patient engagement in goal setting. The position emphasizes effective time management, adaptability, and delivering empathetic, patient-centered care. Key Duties Perform evaluations, review history, conduct assessments, and communicate findings to patients and families. Implement treatment protocols based on evaluation outcomes, consult with other professionals, and adjust care as needed. Complete discharge planning and document care activities thoroughly, including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries. Manage schedules efficiently, demonstrate professionalism, and ensure easy patient access to care. Pursue continuing education, serve as a clinical instructor, and mentor staff, students, and volunteers. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program. Licensure in Maryland, DC, and/or Virginia as required.
