Job Overview
A law firm seeks an Employment Litigation Associate for its Greenville, SC office. The role involves defending and litigating a variety of employment-related claims and providing counsel on labor law issues. The successful candidate will represent employers in various legal settings, including court and arbitration.
Duties
- Defend and litigate lawsuits involving employment-related claims and discrimination charges.
- Advise and train employers on employment and labor law issues.
- Represent employers in court, before agencies, at mediations, and in arbitration.
Requirements
- JD from an accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.
- 5+ years of experience, with a strong preference for an employment law background.
- Current SC bar admission or ability to obtain admission.
- Understanding of state and federal agency procedures.
Education
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
Certifications
Admission to the South Carolina Bar or eligibility to obtain admission.
Skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills.
