Role Overview : As a Clinical Exercise Physiologist, you will play a vital role in evaluating and improving the health of patients through exercise interventions. You will work with individuals who have chronic diseases or are at risk, helping them achieve healthier lifestyles. Your expertise will be crucial in administering exercise stress tests, supervising exercise training programs, and providing physical activity counseling. This role is essential in supporting patients across multiple disciplines and contributing to their overall health and recovery.

What You Will Do :

• Administer exercise stress tests and supervise clinic-based exercise training programs for patients with chronic diseases.
• Provide physical activity consultation and counseling to promote adherence to healthy lifestyles.
• Obtain medical histories, review medications, assess symptoms, and measure vital signs during rest and exercise.
• Interpret ECGs and make point-of-care assessments to ensure patient safety during exercise sessions.
• Communicate with physicians and other healthcare providers to coordinate patient care.
• Deliver specialized care to diverse populations, including the elderly, frail adults, children, and those with intellectual disabilities.

Qualifications

What You Will Need :

• Bachelor's or graduate degree in exercise science/physiology or related field.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for the healthcare provider.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 1 year of hire.

Preferred

Qualifications

• Experience in a clinical exercise setting.
• American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) Clinical Exercise Physiologist (ACSM-CEP) certification.
