Description

CDL Class B Delivery Driver, Local Routes, Home Every Night

You take pride in a clean delivery, an accurate load, and a customer who sees you coming and knows the job is handled. That is exactly who we are looking for.

Starting at $22.00 per hour | Full-Time | Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM | Sunrise, FL | Tropic Supply, Inc.

This Is a Local Driving Position

You will spend the majority of your time behind the wheel, running established local routes and delivering HVAC and refrigeration supplies to the contractors and technicians who depend on us every day. You know your customers by name, you know your routes, and you are home every night. This is a role built on consistency, reliability, and showing up the same way every single day, for the company, for the customer, and for yourself.

On days when your route is complete or volume is lighter, you will contribute in the warehouse. That is not the core of this job, but it is part of it, and we want to be upfront about that. When you are on the floor, you bring the same professionalism and work ethic you bring on the road.

Why Tropic Supply

Tropic Supply covers 100% of the employee's health and life insurance premiums, a level of coverage few employers our size still offer outright. Our comprehensive benefits package also includes

• Short-term and long-term disability coverage
• Dental and vision coverage
• Paid time off
• 401(k) retirement plan with company match
• A consistent schedule, a familiar customer base, and no overnight runs
• 53 years family-owned, where tenure is respected and performance is recognized

What You Will Own

On the road, where you will spend most of your time:

• Operate Tropic Supply vehicles on established local routes, delivering HVAC and refrigeration supplies efficiently and professionally
• Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation and receipt handling
• Load and unload cargo safely using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
• Inspect all items for damage before and after transport
• Take ownership of your route, your vehicle, and the impression you leave at every stop

This position requires a Hazmat endorsement. You will transport hazardous materials and are expected to follow all applicable DOT and company safety regulations without exception.

In the warehouse, when you are not on the road:

• Pull and fill orders
• Receive and stock inventory
• Operate warehouse equipment
• Support the team on the floor

This is not your primary role, but when you are here, you are fully here.

Qualifications

Who Fits This Role

• Treats DOT compliance as non-negotiable, not a formality
• Represents the company well at every stop and owns the route without needing to be managed
• Brings the same work ethic to the warehouse floor as to the road
• Dependable and ready to build something long-term

What You Must Bring

• Valid CDL Class B license
• Hazmat endorsement, or ability to obtain within [60] days of hire
• Must be 25 years or older
• Valid DOT medical certificate and FMCSA Clearinghouse registration, with consent to a full pre-employment query
• One year of verifiable CDL driving experience within the last three years, or two years within the last five
• A motor vehicle record that meets Tropic Supply driving standards
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English for safety, documentation, and customer interaction
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, climb in and out of cabs and cargo areas repeatedly, and work in Florida heat
• Sit-down forklift experience preferred; we provide certification

You treat DOT compliance as non-negotiable, own your route without needing to be managed, and bring the same work ethic to the warehouse floor as to the road. You want a place to stay and build something long-term.

Tropic Supply, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer and a Drug-Free Workplace. This position is subject to DOT pre-employment drug testing, a motor vehicle record review, and a background check. Offers are contingent upon successful completion of all required screenings.
