The Retail Store Assistant Manager plays a key role in supporting daily store operations and ensuring a positive customer experience. Responsible for overseeing a small team of 1-5 employees, the assistant manager handles operational decisions and steps in to manage the store in the manager's absence. This role involves utilizing the proprietary POS system to assist with transactions and inventory, maintaining smooth sales floor operations, and helping resolve customer concerns in a professional manner amid a consistent flow of customers throughout the day.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service and resolve complaints effectively
- Support cash handling and operate proprietary POS system accurately
- Assist with inventory management and maintain organized sales floor
- Collaborate with store staff to meet sales goals and operational standards
- Supervise and guide a team of 1-5 employees during shifts
- Make operational decisions and manage store in manager’s absence
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years experience in retail management
- Strong customer service skills
- Proficiency with cash register operation
- Effective communication and problem-solving abilities
