Set-Up TechnicianThe Set-Up Technician installs molds, sets operating parameters, and performs machine start-ups to ensure stable, efficient, and consistent injection molding operations. This role supports safe and reliable production by preparing, adjusting, and maintaining molding equipment to meet quality and performance standards.Responsibilities:Install molds on injection molding machines in accordance with production requirements and safety procedures.Set and adjust machine parameters to achieve stable, efficient, and consistent molding operations.Perform machine start-ups and verify that equipment runs correctly before releasing it to production.Conduct troubleshooting on injection molding equipment to identify and resolve mechanical and process issues.Perform changeovers between molds and jobs, ensuring minimal downtime and accurate setup.Operate machines as needed to confirm proper setup and process stability.Perform basic preventive maintenance tasks on molding machines and related equipment to reduce unplanned downtime.Read and interpret blueprints and related technical documentation to ensure correct setup and operation.Monitor equipment performance and product quality during start-up and setup activities, making adjustments as needed.Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to communicate issues, recommend improvements, and support continuous improvement of molding operations.Essential Skills:Hands-on experience installing molds on injection molding machines.Proficiency in setting machine parameters for stable and efficient injection molding operations.Strong troubleshooting skills for mechanical and process-related issues.Mechanical aptitude and the ability to work with tools and machinery safely.Experience performing machine set up and changeovers in a production environment.Ability to operate injection molding machines to validate setup and process conditions.Capability to perform basic preventive maintenance on production equipment.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documentation.Attention to detail and commitment to consistent product quality.Strong awareness of safety practices when working with machinery and tools.Additional Skills & Qualifications:Previous experience in injection molding or similar manufacturing environments.Familiarity with process optimization and continuous improvement in production settings.Ability to work collaboratively with production, maintenance, and quality teams.Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple setups or tasks in a shift.Why Work Here?You join a production environment that values technical expertise, safety, and consistency in operations. Work hours may align with production shifts, which can include early, late, or rotating schedules depending on operational needs.Job Type & Location:This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Versailles, KY.Pay and Benefits:The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
