Class A CDL Route Driver
We are seeking an experienced Class A CDL Route Driver to deliver foodservice products throughout Kingdom City and surrounding areas. The driver will pick up a loaded trailer from a distribution facility in Kingdom City and make scheduled deliveries to customers across an approximately 200-mile service radius, occasionally extending into the Kansas City Metro area. This is with a family-owned company that supports work-life balance!
This is a home-daily position with occasional Thursday overnights. Drivers typically begin their day around 5:00 AM and return home by approximately 4:005:00 PM.
Key Responsibilities
- Pick up a company trailer from the Kingdom City facility each morning.
- Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle throughout the assigned territory.
- Deliver foodservice products to restaurants, healthcare facilities, schools, nursing homes, and other institutional customers.
- Unload and handle cases of product, including frequent lifting of 6080 pounds.
- Complete deliveries safely, accurately, and professionally.
- Follow all Department of Transportation regulations and company safety procedures.
- Maintain required delivery paperwork and documentation.
- Perform daily vehicle and equipment inspections as required.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL required.
- Doubles/Triples endorsement preferred; candidates without the endorsement may be eligible for assistance obtaining it.
- At least 2 years of commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to repeatedly lift and move 6080 pounds.
- Must be able to pass required DOT physicals and drug testing.
- Must maintain a safe driving record and comply with applicable DOT requirements.
- Reliable, safety-conscious, and customer-service oriented.
Compensation & Schedule
- $25.30$29.30 per hour, based on experience.
- Overtime opportunities available!
- Full-time employment.
- Approximately 5:00 AM start time with typical return home around 4:005:00 PM.
