Recreational Assistant

Responsible for opening and/or closing the facilities, assisting in administering, enforcing rules and regulations, policies, and implementing procedures. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Including the following. Other duties may be assigned. 1. Perform all opening/closing procedures affiliated with Lodge Walk the facility throughout your shift for safety and maintenance issues, looking for damages, repairs, and cleanliness, and filling out opening/closing checklists. Unlock doors to the facility, turn off and set the alarm, turn on/off electronics (music, display board), and all lights in the facility, make sure sign-in sheets are ready, and prepare coffee, water, and tea. Refill the coffee station, input work orders in a timely manner. Check pool and spa water temps twice during your shift and log them in the pool/spa log. 2. Daily, provide customer service to homeowners/guests by: Greet all residents and guests as they enter the facility. Convey a consistent, positive, upbeat demeanor when communicating with residents, vendors, contractors, and guests. Have knowledge of rules and regulations, and policies established by the Board of Directors, and be able to implement them. Answer various questions that residents may have regarding facility usage and events. Handle resident issues in a polite and patient manner; report any issues or concerns residents may have to the GM. Answer phones promptly and in a professional and courteous manner at all times. Review and respond to emails and phone calls within 24 hrs. Ensure the homeowners (with guests) complete the sign‑in log upon entering the facility. Ensure the front desk is neat and tidy at all times. Have knowledge of the facility and experience in reporting urgent items to the GM. Perform basic office duties (photocopying, filing, faxing paperwork, light typing, record keeping, etc.). Obtain age verifications, property profiles, and directory forms from new homeowners and residents to issue fob access. Prepare and distribute incident reports when required. Enforce pool and spa rules as shown in the pool area. Keep all rooms and outdoor recreation areas neat and clean, including pushing in chairs, returning pitchers and glasses to the kitchen, putting games and equipment away, returning books to the library, opening and closing umbrellas, tightening nets on the courts, picking up trash, etc. Check out sports equipment. Perform room set‑ups/take‑downs for reserved events, clubs, and committees. Assist the Activities Director with events, excursions, and reservations for various rooms in Outlook, providing the Activities Director with copies of all tentative reservations. Speak effectively when answering various questions that residents may have regarding facility usage and events. Handle sign‑ups for events, classes, excursions, etc. Maintain company‑provided courses and certification for CPR and First Aid. Cover shifts when needed. Other duties, as assigned, to ensure a smooth operation. ORAL / WRITTEN COMMUNICATION SKILLS:

Must be able to converse with homeowners in a clear, concise, understanding and sensitive manner. Must be able to write basic announcements. Must be adept in one‑on‑one communications and have a superior telephone demeanor/skills. Must be an attentive, aware listener. Must have the ability to be firm at times and flexible at other times and to recognize the appropriate time for each.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

LANGUAGE ABILITY:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively to homeowners, vendors, contractors and other visitors.

MATH ABILITY:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. #J-18808-Ljbffr RadNet, Inc.
