Driver Success Manager

You Don’t Just Manage Drivers. You Champion Them. Drivers are the backbone of everything we do at AFC Tranaport. And the Driver Success Manager? You’re the person who makes sure they’re earning well, running safe, and actually want to stay. This isn’t a desk‑only role where you stare at spreadsheets all day (though yes, you’ll check KPIs). This is a people‑first leadership role. You’ll oversee 30-45 flatbed trucks, build real relationships with your drivers, and be the bridge between the road and the office. If you care about people and love logistics, this is the sweet spot. What You’ll Do Lead and support a fleet of 30-45 flatbed drivers with daily check-ins and coaching. Monitor RPM, gross revenue, MPG, and other KPIs to keep performance on track. Work hand-in-hand with Dispatchers to optimize load planning, preplans, and driver availability. Run monthly performance reviews that celebrate wins and address gaps head-on. Keep McLeod TMS records clean: ETAs, PTAs, HOS, maintenance, the works. Review Samsara data for safety, fuel, and compliance. Coordinate with maintenance to keep trucks running and minimize downtime. Be the driver’s voice when working with Dispatch, Customer Service, and Safety. What Success Looks Like Drivers that are profitable, safe, and want to stick around. Low turnover and high morale across your fleet. Clean compliance records and inspection-ready trucks. A reputation as someone drivers trust and leadership relies on. What You Bring Experience in fleet management, driver relations, or transportation operations. You actually like talking to people, especially drivers. Strong understanding of HOS, DOT compliance, and TMS systems (McLeod preferred). Data-driven but people-first mindset. Ability to juggle 30+ relationships and still keep the details tight.
