Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:

Responsible for providing emergency nursing care to patients in a hospital setting, ensuring rapid assessment and effective treatment during critical situations. The RN will deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while adhering to clinical protocols and safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions upon arrival and prioritize care based on severity.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately as prescribed.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses in the medical record.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement care plans.
• Respond swiftly to emergency situations, providing life-saving interventions as needed.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, infection control, and safety procedures.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Indiana RN license or compact license.
• Possess 2+ years of recent emergency room nursing experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency with Meditech or similar EHR systems.
• Complete required background checks and provide references within the last 12 months.
• Show flexibility with shift schedules, including night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM).
• Previous travel experience preferred; must have active RN license and compliance with travel requirements.
