Job Title: Surgical Technologist
Profession: Surgical Services
Specialty: CVOR Tech
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day 3x12-Hour
Hours per Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in the specialty
License: Valid State License required
Certifications: CST Certification required
Must-Have:
Cardiac surgery experience required
Pediatric cardiac surgery experience strongly preferred
Adult CT surgery experience accepted/preferred
Experience with cardiopulmonary bypass and ECMO cannulation required
Description:
CCHMC Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required.
Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the specialty they are applying for.
First-time travelers accepted; prior experience in the specialty required.
Call requirements include 1-2 call days per week and two 48-hour weekend call shifts every 8 weeks.
Required response time for call is 30 minutes.
Candidates must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19; no exemptions or declinations accepted.
Previous employees are not eligible for contract positions until 1 year after termination.
Maximum of 5 requested time off days allowed.
No block scheduling requests permitted unless requesting weekends only.
Candidates may float within the facility.
A background check and fingerprinting will be completed on the first day, with results potentially impacting employment.
