About the Role:
Locke Building is looking for an experienced Project Manager with extensive experience in excavation and leading ground-up projects. The job will include assisting in bidding excavation projects, creating excavation plans, managing employees and subcontractors, and overseeing the project.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee all phases of excavation and site preparation projects
- Manage subcontractors, equipment operators, and on-site crews to ensure safe and efficient operations
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, and progress reports, adjusting schedules as needed
- Conduct site visits and inspections to maintain quality control
- Coordinate equipment logistics, material procurement, and site grading activities
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience actually running equipment
- Strong knowledge of earthwork and site development
- Proven ability to manage crews effectively
- Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, site plans, and soil reports
- Valid driver's license, ability to travel to job sites
- Strong communication and leadership skills with a team-first attitude
- Willing to work long hours when needed
