Software Engineer, Strategic Defense

Responsibilities

• Own software solutions deployed to customers.
• Write software to improve products and scale mission capabilities.
• Collaborate across teams to plan, build, and test complex functionality.
• Create and analyze metrics for debugging and monitoring.
• Triage issues, identify root causes, and coordinate next steps.
• Partner with end users to translate needs into features while balancing user experience and engineering constraints.
• Travel up to 50% to Asia Pacific to build, test, and deploy capabilities in real-world settings.

Requirements

• Be willing to travel up to 50% to Asia Pacific.
• Have fluent Mandarin language skills.
• Have a strong engineering background from industry or school, ideally in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics.
• Have experience with programming languages such as Go, Rust, or Python.
• Have experience with frontend frameworks such as React or Angular.
• Have experience building software involving significant data processing and analysis.
• Be able to quickly understand complex systems and established codebases.
• Have a desire to work on critical software with real-world impact.
• Four or more years of professional industry experience are preferred.
• Experience developing software or hardware for safety-critical functionality is preferred.
• Experience with distributed communication networks and message standards is preferred.
