Job Title: Material Handler Job Description

The Material Handler supports production and inventory operations by accurately issuing, transporting, and maintaining materials throughout the facility. This role ensures that production runs efficiently while upholding high standards of safety, organization, and material accuracy. The Material Handler works closely with production and inventory teams to move materials safely, maintain stock integrity, and support a clean, well-organized work environment.

• Issue materials to production jobs accurately and in a timely manner.
• Tag and return overage materials from production back into inventory, ensuring proper documentation.
• Assist with identifying and resolving inventory discrepancies to maintain accurate stock records.
• Drive forklifts, including both stand-up and sit-down equipment, in a safe and efficient manner.
• Move materials safely and efficiently throughout the facility to support production and inventory needs.
• Unload trucks while verifying the accuracy of shipments, including checking weights, labeling, and proper packaging.
• Support the production floor by supplying and removing materials, scrap, tooling, packaging, and other items as needed.
• Follow all company safety rules and procedures at all times.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas to promote safety and efficiency.
• Lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds as required by operational needs.

• Experience issuing materials to production jobs in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
• Ability to tag, track, and return overage materials from production to inventory with accuracy.
• Skill in assisting with inventory discrepancies and maintaining accurate inventory records.
• Proficiency in operating forklifts, including both stand-up and sit-down models.
• Ability to move materials safely and efficiently within a production or warehouse facility.
• Experience unloading trucks and verifying shipment accuracy, including weights, labeling, and packaging.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining productivity and accuracy.
• Capability to lift up to 50 pounds safely and repeatedly as needed.
• Commitment to following all safety rules and maintaining a safe work environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills when handling materials and documentation.

• Previous experience in material handling, inventory control, picking, or packing in a manufacturing setting.
• Familiarity with using pallet jacks and other material handling equipment.
• Background in supporting metal manufacturing or similar industrial environments.
• Comfort working in a structured, safety-focused environment with cleanliness and organization standards.

The role is based in an air-conditioned metal manufacturing shop designed to provide a comfortable, climate-controlled work area. The environment includes production and inventory areas where forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment are regularly used. Employees work around metal manufacturing processes and are expected to follow all safety procedures and maintain clean, organized workspaces. The facility also features on-site amenities such as a workout facility and basketball court, supporting a balanced and health-conscious workplace.

This is a Contract position based out of Maple Lake, MN.

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Maple Lake,MN.
