Licensed Behavioral Health Clinician

VNS Health seeks a Licensed Behavioral Health Clinician for its Intensive Mobile Treatment team serving adults in New York City. In this field-based role, you will provide comprehensive mental health assessments, evidence-based counseling, and crisis intervention directly in clients' homes and community settings. You will develop individualized treatment and recovery plans, coordinate with psychiatrists and community providers, and engage families and caregivers to support stability. Working within a collaborative, mission-driven team, you will document care in the EHR, ensure regulatory compliance, and help high-need clients remain safely in the community while advancing your clinical skills and career growth at VNS Health. Responsibilities Provide intensive mobile mental health assessment, treatment, and crisis intervention in community settings Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized treatment and recovery plans Deliver evidence-based counseling and psychoeducation to adults with serious behavioral health needs Coordinate care with psychiatrists, nurses, primary care, and social service providers Conduct home and field visits across assigned service areas in New York City Engage and support families and caregivers to promote treatment adherence and stability Document all services, assessments, and treatment plans in the electronic health record timely and accurately Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, case conferences, and care planning Ensure compliance with regulatory, ethical, and confidentiality standards (HIPAA) Provide on-call or rotating crisis coverage as assigned Clinical assessment and diagnostic formulation (DSM-5) Crisis intervention and de-escalation Individual and family counseling Treatment and recovery planning Risk assessment and safety planning Electronic health record (EHR) documentation Care coordination and interprofessional collaboration Knowledge of community mental health resources and social services Trauma-informed and culturally competent care Time management and field-based caseload management Benefits Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Qualifications Active Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or equivalent NYS behavioral health license Eligibility for NYS licensure if not already licensed strongly preferred Valid New York State driver's license or ability to travel throughout NYC boroughs Training in evidence-based practices (CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care, motivational interviewing) preferred Knowledge of community mental health, serious mental illness, and crisis intervention models Familiarity with HIPAA and behavioral health documentation standards #J-18808-Ljbffr
