Superintendent

Job Description Summary As a Superintendent working for Taylor Morrison you will provide leadership in your assigned community(ies) and will be responsible for managing the homebuilding construction process for assigned homes to ensure timely completion while meeting financial, quality, safety and customer satisfaction goals. Responsibilities Responsible for leading the overall homebuilding process Foster a team environment Build and maintain positive subcontractor relations Continually evaluate quality, safety, scheduling and cost control measures and enforce site safety May provide mentoring of team members Manage the construction schedule and ensure the highest quality product is delivered on time and within budget Develop and implement recovery strategies to maintain schedule, authorize payment for materials received and work completed Provide clear answers to buyers about how the home is built and ensure the overall condition of the home at move‑in is satisfactory to the home buyers Provide outstanding level of customer service at all times Ensure the home is completed by the original date provided to the homebuyer Ensure the worksite is clean, orderly and visually appealing to customers during construction Manage the post‑close process for warranty, including assessing warranty requests, determining course of action, scheduling trades, and managing quality assurance Willing to perform other duties as assigned Essential Functions Report to Division/Corporate Office/Community daily and adhere to schedule Access, input and retrieve information from a computer and/or electronic device Have face‑to‑face conversations with customers, co‑workers and higher level manager Sit or stand for long periods of time and move around work environment as needed Operate a motor vehicle if applicable Physical Demands Must be able to remain in a stationary position up to 50% of the time; lift/move up to 10 pounds frequently, occasionally lift/move up to 25 pounds. Qualifications High School Diploma/GED with 1+ years of construction experience (preferably with a production builder) or successful completion of the assigned TM360 Learning curriculum Bachelor’s degree in Construction or related field preferred Demonstrated knowledge of new home construction process, scheduling and cost control procedures Ability to read, understand and interpret construction documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedules Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and computer skills Strong oral and written communication skills and organization skills Customer service oriented, believing the customer is the number one priority Flexible and able to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines Willing to perform other duties as assigned Competencies and Attributes Creative/Innovative Customer Service Focused Dependable/Reliable Integrity/Trust Prioritization Team Player Compensation and Benefits Salary Range: $63,640 – $92,280 Bonus or Commission Eligible: Up to 20% Construction Auto Allowance: $6,000 yearly Cell Allowance: N/A FLSA Status: Exempt Health Care – Medical/Dental/Vision/Prescription Drug Coverage 401(k) with Company Matching Contributions Flexible Spending Accounts Disability Programs Employee & Dependent Life Insurance Vacation & Company Holidays Tuition Reimbursement Employee Home Purchase Rebate Program Home Mortgage Program Employee Assistance Program (EAP) #J-18808-Ljbffr Taylor Morrison Inc.
