Job Description

As a Security Officer Driver Screening in Council Bluffs, IA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic utilities location as an Access Control Officer in a driving post. You will monitor entry points, verify credentials, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents while delivering exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a utilities location.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorizations, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity in accordance with site protocols.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating security-related concerns to site leadership when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, control points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized access and identify unusual activity.
Support security-related operations by maintaining accurate logs, communicating clearly with staff and visitors, and following post orders for restricted and sensitive areas.

Minimum Requirements:

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
