Job Title

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00–19:30) | Every other weekend and holidays as applicable to operations

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Medical Surgical / Telemetry setting across multiple unit types including cardiac, spine, and neuro
• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings, including identification of lethal and critical cardiac rhythms
• Float to other units as needed based on operational requirements
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Epic EMR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes

Required Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin RN license or valid Compact RN license required
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Minimum of two years of acute care inpatient RN experience within the last three years in Medical Surgical / Telemetry
• Experience working across multiple Med/Surg unit types (cardiac, spine, neuro)
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must pass a Telemetry exam prior to start — Adult and Pediatric components with a passing score of 80% or higher, with 100% identification of lethal rhythms required on the Adult exam; travelers have up to three attempts under defined criteria
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a Magnet-designated or academic medical center environment
• Familiarity with high-acuity telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Experience floating across multiple inpatient units
