Aegis is currently partnering with a growing manufacturer in Harwood Heights to identify a CNC Operator to join their team!
Responsibilties:
Manufacture parts within a cell with multiple machines
Interpret blueprint dimensions to ensure quality for each component being machined
Make offset adjustments and perform change inserts
Requirements:
1-3+ years of CNC Operating experience
Able to change inserts and make offset adjustments (Doosan, Mori-Seki, Okuma, Haas is a plus)
Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints – can point out what different symbols mean and would have no problem passing an interactive blueprint test (maj is aluminum, some steel) but a good number of castings and parts are raw aluminum.
Tolerances are generally between +/- 1 and 5 thousandths of an inch.
Ability to utilize measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, gages, drop indicator etc.
