Travel RN (Registered Nurse) - Telemetry

Shift: 12H Nights, 19:00:00-07:00:00, 4 total weekend shifts per 4 weeks, holidays based on unit coverage

Job Description:

The RN will provide care for patients in a Cardiac Telemetry Unit with a focus on maintaining sterile fields during procedures and passing a pass/fail skills examination on the first day. Level 1 trauma experience is required, along with proficiency in dysrhythmia recognition. Candidates must be willing to float to related units and work a variable schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a patient ratio of 1:3-4, depending on acuity.
• Interpret EKGs using Philips monitors.
• Participate in SIMs Lab sessions for skill validation.
• Chart using Cerner EMR system.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team inclusive of RT and pharmacy available 24/7.

Requirements:

• Valid RN license and willingness to adhere to trauma level 1 standards.
• ACLS and BLS certifications (AHA).
• Pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance with a maximum of 2 attempts.
• Natural hair color, no facial piercings, and clean-shaven for fit testing.
