Locums - Hartford, Connecticut Urgent Need Neurointerventionalist Opening
Clinical Role
Provide inpatient and Emergency Department Neurointerventional coverage at a Level I Trauma Center and thrombectomy-capable stroke center. The assignment focuses on adult and geriatric neurovascular patients, including stroke and complex neurointerventional cases.
Assignment Details
Coverage Dates: September 10-15, 2026
Schedule:
- 24/7 call coverage
- 100% inpatient/hospital-based
- Solo call coverage
- Approximately 2 hours of call-back time per day
- Approximately 5-10 patients per day
- Temporary privileges available
Clinical Responsibilities
- Inpatient and ED neurovascular consultations
- Stroke thrombectomy
- Aneurysm embolization
- Diagnostic cerebral angiography (DCA)
- Carotid stenting
- Head and neck embolization for trauma
Practice Setting
- Hospital-based
- Level I Trauma Center
- Thrombectomy-capable stroke center
- Adult and geriatric patient population
- Epic EMR
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible within 5 years of residency
- Neurology, Neurosurgery, or Neuroradiology
- Fellowship required
- Active Connecticut license in hand at submission - Required
- DEA and CSR - Required
- BLS and ACLS - Required
