Director, Global Forward Deployed AI Programs

Johnson & Johnson seeks a Director to lead global AI solution development within the commercial strategy organization. This role embeds with marketing, medical affairs, and market access teams to build and deploy generative and agentic AI products that solve business problems while setting technical standards across regions.
Responsibilities
- Build and mentor forward-deployed engineering capability across global commercial strategy organization and regions
- Define AI use cases, success metrics, and technical standards for all engagements and pilots
- Lead hands-on technical discovery, architecture design, prototyping, and debugging alongside teams
- Establish evaluation discipline including task-specific test sets, automated regression suites, and quality thresholds
- Own transition from prototype to production, including CI/CD, staged rollouts, and observability for deployed solutions
Requirements
- Leadership experience building and scaling AI/ML engineering teams across distributed organizations
- Hands-on expertise in generative AI, agentic AI, and production LLM deployment
- Deep knowledge of AI evaluation, testing frameworks, and production quality assurance
- Experience navigating regulatory, compliance, and medical/legal requirements in regulated industries
- Strong track record translating business problems into technical architectures and measurable outcomes
- Proven ability to influence without formal authority and drive adoption across matrix organizations
