Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) Registered Nurse (RN) in Springfield, Illinois. This role involves caring for adult patients recovering from cardiac surgeries and medical conditions requiring specialized cardiovascular intensive care. Candidates are required to bring their Illinois license on the first day of employment.

Job Details:

• Location: Springfield, Illinois
• Shift: 12-hour days, 4 days per week, every third weekend, with a schedule connecting with management to accommodate requests
• Schedule: Dayshift, 12 hours shifts, minimum 48 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a cardiac or ICU setting; active Illinois license; certifications include Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge experience and Cerner charting system experience are preferred
• Float: Float rotation may be required within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals
• Additional Information:
  • PICC line management and starting IVs are essential skills
  • Must be able to perform complex procedures and manage patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
  • Experience with cardiac procedures such as CABG, TAVR, and valve repair/replacement is desirable
  • Must be compliant with vaccination requirements, including the mandatory flu vaccine
