Start Date: November 12, 2026

Location: Charleston, West Virginia

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 3x12 or 4x12 hours per week, weekdays with every other weekend required. Float to similar telemetry units as needed within scope of practice.

Highlights:

• Full telemetry floor with centralized monitoring and dedicated monitoring technician
• Patient population includes pulmonary, cardiac, medical/surgical, adult and geriatric patients
• 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio on a 28-bed unit utilizing team nursing model
• EMR system: Cerner
• Level IV Trauma Center and major teaching hospital with 838 staffed beds
• Free parking provided for travelers; orientation held every other week on Thursdays

Requirements:

• Active West Virginia or Compact RN License (pending license accepted for submission)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience with cardiac telemetry/telemetry experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association
• Experience interpreting and managing dysrhythmias, heparin protocols, Cardizem, and Amiodarone
• Experience with 1:5 patient ratios preferred
• Minimum 2 Manager or Charge Nurse references from the past 2 years
• Permanent address must be 100+ miles from facility (75-99 miles considered case-by-case)
• Flu vaccination required during flu season (October 1 - March 31) unless medical exemption provided
• Previous permanent employees must wait 2 years from last employment date before returning as traveler
