You will use your hands-on skills to integrate power and controls panels, and wire instrumentation, heaters, and motors. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, collaborative startup environment, where your contributions will have a direct impact on the development and scaling of breakthrough clean energy technology.ResponsibilitiesBuild and integrate electrical systems - including panels, power cables, busbars, and conduit - into the electrolyzer system and balance of plantLand field instrumentation and PLC IO using shielded cable, and perform loop checks to verify each point end to endWire instrumentation, heater, and motors according to manufacturing specifications and internal wiring diagramsDiagnose and repair any electrical issues, ensuring that all systems operate safely and efficientlyWork closely with engineers to understand design requirements and ensure that builds meet technical specifications and safety standardsAccurately record build processes, modifications, nonconformances, and test results to support traceability and improvements to system design and production processesOther duties as assignedBasic QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent2+ years of experience in electronics assembly, test, maintenance, or similar rolesAbility to lift up to 50 lbs unassistedAble to work on-site in Hawthorne, CAPreferred Skills & ExperienceExperience with Class I Div 2 wiring methods, including seal-offs and nonincendive field wiringNFPA 70E training, and familiarity with loop calibrators, terminal schedules, and IO listsExperience with terminating wires into terminals and control equipment for high and low power AC and DC systemsAbility to program VFDs, process controllers, and instrumentationFamiliarity with lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) procedures and the ability to work safely around high voltage equipmentProficiency in bending, routing, and fishing conduit linesFamiliarity with reading and interpreting engineering drawings, schematics/diagrams, work instructions, and technical documentsStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot mechanical systemsProfessional QualitiesStrong attention to detail and diligent in following work instructionsCommitment and pride in high-quality workmanshipAbility to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentEffective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate closely with engineers and other team membersCuriosity into the system design and operationEnthusiasm for hands-on work and a passion for contributing to the development of clean energy technology
