Manufacturing Machine Operator

Machine OperatorWe are looking for experienced machine operators to work within our cell assembly areas. These technicians will be responsible for a variety of tasks, to include operating machines using programmable logic controls, and utilizing a range of calibrated tools. Our technicians in this area have a hand in creating of battery cells, which will power products for the space, defense and racing industries. Technicians will work one of three shifts – first, second or third. All shifts are eight hours in length.RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalentAdditional schooling or training in a technical field is preferred3 - 5 years of manufacturing experience, preferably running machineryBasic computer skills with some proficiency with Excel and database usageAbility to comprehend written instructions and to clearly document and record the results of the work that you performProven experience running complex machinery and producing products of high qualityExcellent organizational skills and the ability to maintain an organized workstation to optimize product flow to feed downstream stationsAbility to install materials and setup machine(s) utilizing precise settings such as speed, tension, power and various other criteriaPossess a keen eye for detail and be able to notice small variances in processes and materials that may affect final product qualityCommunicate clearly and accurately to describe in detail any machine or product issues that may have occurred and possess the ability to communicate this information to all levels of personnelReliable, trustworthy and able to work either independently or as part of a teamProblem solving skills that permit diagnosing and correcting of issues that may occur during machine operation Ability and willingness to rapidly learn and understand the tasks assignedMust be available to work overtime as schedules occasionally requireWorking ConditionsPPE requirements include safety glasses, steel toed shoes and full body gownsWork environment will be in a dry room where cooled and low humidity air is constantly presentThis position will require standing for most of each dayThis position requires working in an environment where strong magnets and chemicals are presentAbility to lift up to 50 lbsResponsibilitiesWork in an environment where adhering to safety policies and procedures is required as well as consistently utilizing safe work practicesSet up, operate and maintain production equipment, machines and tools using process documents, diagrams, and written instructionsOperate winding, welding, punching and stacking equipment and become proficient in each machine's operationsMaintain the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition utilizing 6S standards while following all safety requirementsInspect machine outputs using precision measurement tools to include, calipers, micrometers, meters and vision systemsFollow instructions per process specs while manufacturing materials for use in high power cells and batteries Possess the desire and aptitude to become proficient in operating additional complex machineryWhat We OfferWhether you are just getting started or are an experienced professional, we offer a robust total rewards package to include generous compensation based on market standards, healthcare, wellness, adoption assistance, discounted stock purchase, career development and recognition programs.
