About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Oncology / Chemotherapy Infusion for a 13-week contract in Sidney, Montana. The RN will provide specialized outpatient oncology nursing care with a primary focus on chemotherapy administration, infusion therapy, symptom management, patient monitoring, and education.

Candidates must have at least 2 years of chemotherapy administration experience , current ONS Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration Certification , and prior Epic experience .

Responsibilities

  • Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, infusion treatments, and other prescribed therapies according to established oncology protocols and safety standards.

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments, review health histories and provider orders, and monitor patients before, during, and after treatment.

  • Identify and manage cancer-related symptoms and treatment reactions while promptly communicating significant changes to physicians and the cancer care team.

  • Provide direct nursing care, patient triage, and education to patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, symptom management, and follow-up care.

  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation in Epic and collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to support safe, coordinated oncology care.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 Years of Recent Chemotherapy Administration Experience Required.

  • Current, Active Registered Nurse License Required; Applicable Montana Nursing Practice Requirements Must Be Met Before Start.

  • Current ONS Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration Certification Required.

  • Current BLS/BCLS and ACLS Certifications Required.

  • Epic Experience Required; Outpatient Oncology, Hematology-Oncology, and Infusion Nursing Experience Strongly Preferred.

This contract opportunity is suited for an experienced oncology RN with strong chemotherapy and infusion skills seeking a weekday outpatient cancer care assignment.
