Heavy Mobile Equipment Repairer

Job Title
The duties include:
- Troubleshooting, repairing, modifying, and maintaining a variety of heavy mobile equipment such as construction, industrial, combat, tactical, and powered support equipment.
- Removing and repairing major systems or components of equipment to include power packs, transmissions, transfers, gear reduction units, injector pumps, air conditioners, fuel pumps, and alternators.
- Making idle speed, current, brake, and transmission linkage adjustments.
- Performing initial and in-process inspections, mechanical maintenance on defective parts, and minor body work.
- Performing mechanical diagnostics and troubleshooting to localize defects and determine the cause of malfunction.
- Providing technical assistance to unit personnel.
- Operating motor vehicles to perform the duties of this position.
