Assembly Operator

Assembler Position

We are hiring assemblers in the San Luis Obispo area! Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:35pm. Pay rate: $18.00 - $22.00 an hour.

Responsibilities:

• Work Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime throughout the week and/or on Saturdays.
• Prepare work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
• Position parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
• Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.
• Verify specifications by measuring completed component.
• Cut PVC piping to length, prepare and glue into assemblies.
• Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Use small hand and power tools, and miter-saw

Qualifications:

• Have basic math skills
• Have the ability to speak, read, and write basic English
• Be able to follow standard work procedures
• Have excellent attendance
• Be able to lift frequently 3-25 pounds and infrequently 25-50 pounds, as well as regularly bend and reach
• Be able to stand for an entire eight hour shift
• Be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by work area, such as safety glasses, ear plugs, hard hats, gloves, and steel toe shoes
• Perform other duties as assigned
