Practical Nurse (Outpatient)

Job Title

The duties of this position include:

Initiate and maintain medical histories on patients, records observations, and identifies symptoms for use by the clinician.

Perform direct nursing care to clinic patients via telemedicine, virtual, and face-to-face care to include triage, procedures, nurse-managed protocols, medication management, and administrative duties.

Prepare and deliver oral, topical, and injectable forms while monitoring for and responding to side effects or adverse reactions.

Educate patients and families about prescribed treatments, reinforcing adherence to the medical plan.

Prepare patients for procedures, such as wound care, catheterizations, and respiratory therapies.

Ensure compliance with infection control protocols throughout all procedures.

Assist in counseling and educating patients to include, but not limited to diet, personal hygiene, acute or chronic illness, wellness/preventative health measures, normal development, immunizations, demonstrating proper use of medical devices.
