Seasonal Production Technician

This position is seasonal, with the possibility of direct hire and increased compensation upon transition to a permanent role, contingent on performance and other relevant factors Factory Location: Cabazon, CA Compensation: $22.35 / hour Shift differential : 6%-8% of base hourly rate paid for applicable hours worked Available Schedules Day Shift: 12 hour shift 6:00 AM - 6:15 PM, Monday - Saturday. Sundays off. 2 Rotating consecutive days off bi-weekly Night Shift 12 hour shift 6:00 PM -6:15 AM, Sunday - Friday. Saturdays off. 2 Rotating consecutive days off bi-weekly Seasonal Benefits Sick time Employee discounts 401K with a 5% match Responsibilities Operate, changeover, clean, troubleshoot, and complete basic maintenance according to company standards on production equipment consisting of fillers, labelers, case packers, palletizers, blow mold machines, wrappers, and forkliftsRecord the following: preventative maintenance activities, quality inspection data, equipment downtime, production output and other key metricsAdhere to safe work practices, good manufacturing practices, and participate in safe behavior observation programsCommunicate effectively when issues arise that prevent operating to company standards/proceduresMeet or exceed performance metrics including efficiency, production, and downtimePerform mathematical calculations as neededEnsure quality product is sent to customers by completing hourly quality checksInspect raw materials against quality standards before loading themInteract with team members from various departments (Quality Assurance, Maintenance, etc.) to maximize output and efficiencyAttend shift, team, and plant meetings during their scheduled timesMeasure and continuously improve the line operation as a team and with other techniciansCross-train in other areas to support operations during downtimesMaintain your workstation in an organized and clean manner ensuring safety and good manufacturing practicesFocus on safe work practices and high quality while executing duties with a sense of urgency Qualifications High school diploma, GED or equivalent experiencePrior experience in clean manufacturing preferredAbility to work the scheduled shift which includes start‑up and handover meetingsExposure to high-speed production and/or basic maintenance is preferredTroubleshooting and root cause analysis experienceAbility to work on your own and with a teamStrong communication skills both face to face and over the radioComputer skills with knowledge of Microsoft applications, SAP experience a plusForklift experience is preferred, but we are able to train new associatesAbility to lift and move 50 lbs. and stand on your feet for extended periods of time throughout the dayAbility to work in adverse environmental conditions, including inclement weather and changes in temperature Candidates must possess strong English language skills to effectively communicate with customers and provide exceptional service. Proficiency in English is essential for understanding customer needs, resolving inquiries, and collaborating with team members.
