We are seeking a Customer Assistor / Health Insurance Enrollment Specialist to educate individuals, families, and community organizations about health insurance options and assist with enrollment and recertification.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist individuals and families with enrollment in Medicaid, Child Health Plus, Essential Plan, and Qualified Health Plans.
• Review income, household, residency, and eligibility documentation.
• Explain health plan options, benefits, costs, and enrollment requirements.
• Conduct community outreach, health fairs, business visits, and educational events.
• Build relationships with community organizations, local businesses, and members.
• Resolve enrollment barriers and advocate for members throughout the application process.
• Maintain compliance with Marketplace rules and regulations.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma required; Associate’s Degree preferred.
• 1–2 years of customer service, sales, healthcare enrollment, or related experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
• Basic math and MS Office skills.
• Ability to travel within the assigned territory.
• Bilingual skills preferred.
• New York State MFE training/certification required within 3 months of hire.
