Job Title: RN Labor and Delivery Profession: RN Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 18:30 - 07:00 Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 1 year in Labor and Delivery License: Active Texas RN License required (temporary licenses not accepted) Certifications: BLS, NRP, AWHONN Must-Have: Labor and Delivery experience Recovery and immediate newborn care PACU and c-section experience 2+ years of hospital/specialty experience Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Labor and Delivery unit. The unit has 4 labor, delivery, and recovery rooms. Patient ratios are 1:1 for pitocin and 2:1 for other situations. The RN will provide care during labor, delivery, and recovery, as well as immediate care for newborns during the golden hour. Experience in circulating c-sections is required. Familiarity with Meditech is preferred. The RN will participate in bedside shift reports and use the Aidet communication method to enhance patient experience. Dress code includes facility-provided scrubs. Hair should be neat and clean with no extreme styles or colors. Beards, mustaches, and sideburns should be clean and neatly trimmed. Body art should be covered whenever possible, with individual assessments for body art that cannot be concealed daily. Visible piercings, other than ears, are prohibited. Attendance policies will apply as per unit guidelines.
