Registered Nurse (RN) - MedSurg

An opportunity is available for a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical-Surgical (MedSurg) care. This position is primarily for night shifts, providing essential nursing care to patients within a dynamic healthcare environment.

Shift Information

• Shift: 7 PM - 7 AM
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours
• Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend
• Holiday Rotation: Rotates with other staff and travelers

Position Responsibilities

• General medical and surgical knowledge application
• Potential administration of infusions at the infusion center
• Occasionally caring for pediatric patients, including those with croup or RSV
• Assisting in meeting facility needs by floating within scope of practice

Charting and Patient Ratios

• Charting System: Cerner
• Patient Ratios: Typically 4:1 or 5:1

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience required
• AHA BLS certification required
• Active Kansas or multistate nursing license required

Orientation

Orientation for new staff will be provided, lasting 1 to 2 days.

Schedule Accommodations

Consideration may be given for block scheduling. Some schedules may include three consecutive shifts.
