RN - Acute Care Surgery Nurse
Join a dedicated healthcare team as a Registered Nurse specializing in acute surgical care within a supportive and patient-focused environment in the Midwest region. This role emphasizes delivering compassionate, family-centered nursing care aligned with professional standards and ethical guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiently manage time and resources while prioritizing patient needs and collaborating with healthcare providers.
- Apply evidence-based practices to enhance patient outcomes and workplace efficiency.
- Maintain excellent communication and customer service skills to foster positive relationships with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Uphold safety standards, including HIPAA compliance and Just Culture principles, to ensure a secure environment for patients and staff.
- Engage in continuous professional development through certifications, advanced education, and leadership opportunities.
Education and Experience:
Graduation from an accredited nursing program is required. Candidates from non-accredited programs must have at least five years of acute care nursing experience or hold an advanced degree from an accredited institution. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred or must be obtained within five years of hire; enrollment in an accelerated MSN program is also acceptable. Area-specific certifications such as ACLS, BLS, and PALS are required and must be maintained.
Active Registered Nurse licensure by the appropriate state board is mandatory.
