RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Schedule requires 3 shifts per week (3x12s)
• Every other weekend coverage required (Saturday and Sunday)
• No call responsibilities
• Float to other units as needed
• Required to work Charge RN shifts as needed
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Previous travel experience required
• Charge RN experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• BLS certification required
• Must pass EKG exam during compliance (2 attempts allowed)
• Patient ratio experience of 5-6 patients
• Care for adult and geriatric orthopedic and medical surgical patients
• Telemetry monitoring experience required
• Work with patients who have had total joint replacements, fracture repairs, and kyphoplasties
• Manage medical patients including inpatient and 24-hour observation cases
• Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
• Subject to float to any facility campus if needed
• 24 hours of orientation provided

Facility:

This healthcare facility features a 32-bed orthopedic unit that provides comprehensive care for adult and geriatric patients. The unit serves both orthopedic and medical surgical patients with telemetry monitoring capabilities. A unique feature includes an on-unit physical therapy gym that allows patients to receive adequate rehabilitation without leaving the unit. The facility maintains a daily census of 28 patients and offers extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams.
