This is not a guarantee, but a possibility.) Non-Exempt Job Summary This is an unarmed/armed position for a Flex Agent required to fulfill an Executive Protection role. Domestic travel required, and at times international travel will be required. Comfortable in fast paced environment. Comfortable in social settings with high profile public figures. The Flex Agent is tasked with numerous functions providing overall support to protective security details in the United States. This detail operates in a dynamic, multi-faceted, and fast paced environment. Responsibilities Ensure the overall safety and security of designated principals. Drive principals to various personal/business venues and/or additional off‑site assignments. Demonstrate proficiency in the use and proper maintenance of all equipment used in support of the protective operations program (e.g., vehicles, medical supplies, communications devices, etc.). Maintain an acceptable professional appearance. Communicate with the principal’s staff, coworkers, and third‑party vendors using a customer‑service approach. Adapt to various tasks that may be assigned outside of traditional security operations/roles. Interact with children (if required). Engage in on‑the‑spot critical thinking and improvisation. Exhibit strong emotional intelligence and self‑awareness. Comfortable in a variety of social settings and capable of socially engineering desired outcomes. Willing to submit to pre‑employment, post‑accident, and random drug testing as determined by management. Work shifts that can include days, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime. Travel (domestic and international) when required. Provide close protection to principals at various venues, events, business meetings, and personal trips. Maintain a positive attitude across a wide variety of situations and conduct oneself in a manner that contributes to a positive and professional work environment. Conduct advance work for routes, venues, and travel trips. Write detailed reports. Coordinate with principal’s staff and outside personnel to facilitate seamless operations. Maintain physical fitness to stand for several hours without a break, and provide protective coverage during physically taxing activities (running, swimming, hiking, etc.). Engage responsibly in an active threat against a principal. Be proficient in defensive tactics, de‑escalating or actively engaging potential threats against principals. Licensing Requirements California BSIS Security Guard license Valid United States Driver’s License Current passport with more than six months until expiration CPR/First Aid/AED certification for adults, children, and infants Preferred Education and Experience Certification from a recognized EP school Graduation from a certified driving school (preferred) Military or law‑enforcement experience (plus) Training in defensive tactics, counter‑surveillance/surveillance detection, and covert protection experience Active first responder, paramedic, or EMT certifications (plus) Regularly active in outdoor activities such as mountain biking, hiking, ocean sports, etc. California CCW permit (plus) Required Skills and Experience 2+ years of relevant EP experience Good understanding of the latest technology in smartphones, communications/tracking apps, and collaboration apps Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and solo practitioner Excellent communicator able to professionally engage clients, superiors, peers, and vendors Physical Requirements Physically able to capture and detain individuals if necessary Prolonged periods sitting (5+ hours) at a desk and monitoring surveillance equipment Prolonged periods standing on feet without a break (4‑5+ hours) Lift 50 pounds at a time Lift, drag, or lift a human up to 200 lbs or more if necessary Bend, twist, stoop, and crawl as required Respond to physical attacks, natural disasters, evacuations Perform physical activities such as hiking, biking, swimming Salary and Benefits $675.36/day.
