Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our Step Down/Progressive Care Unit (PCU) team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive care for patients who require closer monitoring and more frequent assessments than those in a general medical-surgical unit.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patient conditions, recognizing changes in patient status and responding appropriately.
• Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Utilize specialized equipment in support of patients' care.
• Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and their families.
• Ensure a high standard of care through continuous assessment and evaluation of patient needs.

Qualifications

• Proficient in specialized care, with relevant experience in a Step Down/PCU setting.
• Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to navigate and utilize healthcare technology and equipment.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and part of a team.

Requirements

• Active nursing license in good standing.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• Previous experience in telemetry or critical care is highly desirable.
