Senior Applications Scientist

Cytiva seeks a Senior Applications Scientist to design and execute upstream bioprocessing studies, bridging research, product development, and commercial teams. The role focuses on mammalian cell culture, bioreactor systems, and perfusion technologies to support product advancement and customer success.
Responsibilities
- Design, execute, and interpret applications studies across bench-scale to manufacturing-scale bioreactor systems
- Contribute scientific leadership to cross-functional teams on experimental design and technical strategy
- Partner with Product Management and commercial teams to translate customer needs into development programs
- Generate technical reports, application notes, and presentations demonstrating product capabilities
- Serve as trusted technical resource for commercial teams and customers on cell culture and bioreactor expertise
Requirements
- BS in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or related scientific discipline
- Multiple years hands-on experience in mammalian cell culture or upstream process development
- Demonstrated bioreactor operation and troubleshooting in laboratory or manufacturing settings
- Experience designing experiments, analyzing data, and documenting findings
- Ability to collaborate across functions and communicate with customers and technical teams
- Capability to lift and manipulate equipment up to 40 pounds
Compensation: $120,000-$140,000 base, plus eligible bonus/incentive pay
