Civil Project Engineer Full Time Level 4 Coraopolis, PA, US The Civil Project Engineer is responsible for leading design efforts, overseeing the preparation of technical drawings and calculations, and managing complex design tasks to ensure successful delivery of engineering solutions. The role involves close collaboration with senior engineers, project managers, and cross‑disciplinary teams to meet client expectations and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities Develop site layout, grading, drainage, and utility designs for industrial facilities and renewable energy projects (petroleum storage, processing, transportation, solar, BESS). Prepare construction drawings and plan sets (grading, access roads, equipment pads, stormwater systems) using AutoCAD Civil 3D. Perform hydraulic modeling and stormwater design (culverts, basins, conveyance systems) using HydroCAD and Hydraflow. Apply in‑depth knowledge of Pennsylvania permitting processes and stormwater regulations, including NPDES, chapter 102 and 105 permits, and local municipal ordinances. Coordinate civil designs with structural, electrical, mechanical, environmental, survey, and geotechnical teams to support integrated project delivery. Conduct earthwork analysis, quantity takeoffs, and feasibility evaluations for large‑scale developments. Prepare permitting documents and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations (e.g., NPDES, SWPPP). Provide construction support and QA/QC review for internal projects and owner engineer roles, including responding to RFIs, submittals, revising plans, and mentoring junior staff. Collaborate with other engineers and consultants to integrate systems and equipment into comprehensive engineering solutions. Participate in client and team meetings, presenting design updates and providing technical input on engineering solutions. Conduct site visits or inspections to gather data, evaluate project conditions, or assist with construction administration as needed. Qualifications Required Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an ABET‑accredited university. 4–8 years of experience in engineering design and project coordination. Preferred Experience leading complex or large‑scale engineering projects. Licensed Professional Engineer, EIT certification, or ability to obtain licensure in the near term.
