School Psychologist

School Year: 2026-27 Position: School Psychologist Grade(s): Kindergarten-8th Grade Reports to: Director of Student Support Services United Schools (United) is a nonprofit organization in Columbus, Ohio. Since founding its first school in 2008, United has opened three more schools in ten years. Each campus is an open enrollment, public charter school dedicated to closing the opportunity gap in Columbus. The mission is to transform lives and communities through education, with the vision: For every child, an open door. United currently operates two high‑performing elementary schools (K–5) and two high‑performing middle schools (6–8) serving more than 900 students. We strive to provide a rigorous academic experience in a joyful learning environment and help all students grow and succeed through intentional support and continuous improvement. Position Description Conduct testing and assessments for students across grades K‑8. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to provide insights and recommendations for individual education plans. Design individualized education plans to address functional and academic needs. Provide individual and group counseling to students dealing with emotional, developmental, and behavioral challenges. Qualifications Holds a Master’s degree in School Psychology; Education Specialist or Doctorate degree preferred. Holds a valid Professional Pupil Services License as a School Psychologist from the State Board of Education in Ohio. Has at least two years of successful school psychology experience in an urban school (preferred). Knowledge and Skills Skilled at providing direct support and interventions to students, families, and other school professionals. Skilled at working with school and district leaders to improve school‑wide practices and policies. Skilled at collaborating with community providers to coordinate services. Committed to using data‑driven instructional practices and the techniques outlined in Teach Like a Champion3.0 to improve student outcomes. Relentless in writing, refining, and internalizing curriculum, lessons, and assessments. Open and committed to implementing frequent feedback from team members. Communicates effectively with students, families, and colleagues. Comfortable with Google products for effective communication and completion of job responsibilities. Terms of Employment This position will begin July27,2026 ; applications will be considered immediately. This is a full‑time position. Report times are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.; some job‑related tasks may require work outside of these hours. Salary: The starting salary for a School Psychologist with a Master’s degree is $51,000; for other applicants, salary depends on professional experience and education level.
