Assistant Project Manager

We are seeking an organised and motivated Assistant Project Manager to support the successful delivery of projects from initiation through to completion. Working closely with the Project Manager and wider project team, you will help coordinate activities, monitor progress and ensure that agreed objectives, timescales and quality standards are achieved. Your responsibilities will include maintaining project plans, schedules, risk registers and action logs; arranging meetings and preparing agendas, minutes and progress updates; tracking budgets, resources, milestones and deliverables; and supporting the preparation of reports for internal and external stakeholders. You will liaise with suppliers, contractors, consultants and colleagues across different functions to ensure information is shared promptly and issues are followed through to resolution. You will also assist with procurement, document control, change management and project governance, ensuring that records remain accurate and that agreed processes are followed.


Applicants should have experience supporting projects or coordinating multiple workstreams, ideally within a structured or regulated environment. You will need strong organisational and communication skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritise competing demands while meeting deadlines. A confident approach to working with stakeholders at all levels is essential, as is the ability to identify risks, resolve problems and provide clear, accurate information. Familiarity with project management tools and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint, is desirable. A relevant qualification in project management, business or a related discipline would be advantageous, although equivalent practical experience will be considered.
