Job Title: RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13-26 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1+ years License: Current RN License in the state of Missouri Certifications: BLS, ACLS from AHA only; NIHSS (must obtain prior to start) Must-Have: 1 year experience in Telemetry, Step Down, or Emergency Department. Description: This position involves providing patient care across all age groups, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The RN will monitor and coordinate patient care activities to optimize patient care and comfort. Responsibilities include maintaining patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. The RN will evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by other caregivers. They will utilize the nursing process to ensure high-quality care. The role requires knowledge of nursing practices consistent with established guidelines and standards. Strong communication and human relation skills are essential for this role. The position involves physical demands such as standing and walking for most of the shift. RNs will lift and push patients in wheelchairs and stretchers as necessary. The facility is a recognized leader in safety and patient-centered care. The environment is expected to be clean and air-conditioned, with minimal exposure to unfavorable conditions. The position may involve high acuity patient care as part of a multidisciplinary team. Flexibility and adaptability in responding to changing patient needs are critical.
