Private psychiatry practice with a physical office in Park Ridge, NJ. We are looking for a responsible part time Medical Receptionist/Patient Care Coordinator to join the team. The position requires flexible schedule of some day shifts and some evenings (latest 7pm). No weekends. MEDICAL OFFICE EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. Psychiatry/psychology experience greatly appreciated but not required. Looking for someone Detail Oriented, empathetic, patient, ambitious, pays attention to detail, excellent at multitasking, friendly with patients, and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and verifies insurance eligibility
• Answers phones and directs calls to the appropriate person
• Efficient organizational skills
• Able to navigate patient issues appropriately
• Schedules new and existing patients for appointments
• Collects payments for services
• Maintains medical records and office supplies
• Ensures that office is clean and orderly at all times
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager
• Assists in administering testing for ADHD
• Assists psychiatric providers in phone calls, tasks, etc.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; College Degree preferred
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Medical Office experience required
• Knowledge of EHR preferred
• Knowledge of Office Machines
