1. High school diploma or GED
2. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
3. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
4. Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
5. First aid card or willingness to obtain Desired Qualifications

13. Other duties deemed necessary and appropriate as assigned by the supervisors WORKING CONDITIONS:
Working area will be throughout the entire school district as directed. Some duties may require working in the outside elements while the typical duties will be performed indoors. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. CAREER OPPORTUNITIES:

The physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee must lift and/or move 25 to 50 pounds, and may assist, move, or restrain students with greater weight when required to intervene in student safety issues. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, lift, carry, move about, hear and speak. Employee may be required to perform extensive work at a computer display terminal. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, or consistent with the subject being taught, but can be abnormally loud on occasion. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally work in outside weather conditions and be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, temperature fluctuations, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals commonly used in instruction and/or cleaning. It may be expected that the individual could be exposed to blood or other potentially infectious materials during the course of their duties. The employee may be exposed to infectious disease as carried by students. The employee may be required to travel in school owned or leased vehicles while supervising and assisting students. - Mopping, dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, emptying wastebaskets, washing windows, washing wall and washing woodwork
- Waxing, buffing and scrubbing floors
- Painting, removing garbage, changing light bulbs, unplugging drains
- Snow removal and areas de-iced around entryways during the school day, evening activities and meetings in the buildings
- Clean and disinfect rest rooms
- Prepare rooms for meetings and programs
- Work may involve the use of mechanical equipment
- Notify supervisors concerning the need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating and ventilation equipment
- Work from specific instructions and is expected to perform duties independently
- Demonstrate integrity, loyalty and professionalism
- Keep small lawns watered adjacent to buildings
- Summer duties may include working with maintenance personnel inside and outside of buildings
