Job Description
The Technician Diesel plays a crucial role in maintaining and repairing over-the-road (OTR) tractors and trailers, working independently within a small team of 1-3 members. This position involves diagnosing issues, conducting preventive maintenance, and ensuring machinery operates efficiently without the need for travel.
Responsibilities
- Perform engine repairs on diesel machinery, primarily OTR tractors and trailers
- Conduct preventive maintenance to avoid breakdowns and extend equipment life
- Diagnose mechanical and engine issues using diagnostic equipment
- Replace parts as necessary to restore equipment functionality
- Troubleshoot mechanical problems efficiently and effectively
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in diesel engine repair
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance techniques
- Proficiency with diagnostic equipment
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Effective problem-solving abilities
- Good communication skills
